If you are highly motivated and enjoy collaborating with others, consider joining U-Haul. In this role you will use your General Construction skills to accomplish complex projects, sharing and learning valuable skills as you go.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
General carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical.
Removal of rubble & other debris
Clean & plie salvaged materials.
Load and unload construction materials
Knowledge & ability to operate power tools and hand tools
Painting, patching, finishing
Assist with framing
Knowledge & ability to operate forklift & scissor lift.
Prior training is an asset; however, training will be provided.
Basic arithmetic skills, such as measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
Position requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record to operate a motor vehicle. Adhere to all local vehicular regulations while driving.
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
