In this newly created role, you will lead the development and ongoing commercial management of Environmental Assurance Services here at AsureQuality. This is your chance to build something from the ground up and make a real difference to New Zealand in this exciting field.
At the intersect of commercial, science and technology, policy and legislation, and stakeholder management, you will develop fully costed business cases, provide thought leadership,
and drive a portfolio of commercial projects, that will convert our Environmental Assurance Services strategic growth plan into commercialised business opportunities that deliver to our customers needs. You will identify and develop opportunities to accelerate our capabilities, work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, and provide guidance on the relevant technical and scientific expertise that we require.
You will have tertiary qualifications in environmental sciences or management, public policy, or primary industry-related fields. Qualifications in business or commerce, with further studies in environmental, sustainability, climate, nutrient management, or emissions would be advantageous.
With 5+ years' experience in environmental and/ or sustainability programmes within a large New Zealand organisation, you will have a strong working knowledge of New Zealand climate and environmental policy and legislation, plus a good understanding of New Zealand farm systems across agriculture and/ or horticulture. You are a good communicator who is passionate about your work and committed to sharing your knowledge and experience.
You will have significant experience in business planning and the development of business cases, including M&A; opportunities. You'll understand how to create and package a proposal and convince key stakeholders, plus be able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery and the ability to manage a portfolio of products or services.
You'll have a working knowledge of New Zealand environmental policy, legislation, and regulations, with a strong existing network of relationships across areas such as government, councils, iwi, industry groups, customers, environmental groups, and communities, at national, regional and industry levels.
Ideally based in Auckland or Christchurch, but we will consider other locations for the right candidate.
