As the HR Business Partner, you will provide timely service and support to employees and leaders in both regions. You will partner with leaders to provide information, coaching and advice to enable them to be effective in their leadership roles to their respective teams. You will work closely with other business partners to deliver new initiatives and programs related to employee relations, performance management, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, wellness, employee engagement and organizational health.
What you'll be doing:
Collaborate and work proactively with leaders to identify HR related issues and priorities and make recommendations to analyze and resolve HR issues.
Provide advice and assistance to managers & staff at Central 1, for assigned client groups.
Manage full-cycle recruitment process including internal and external job postings, review of potential candidates, offer creation and negotiation.
Manage internal employee movements and status changes, according to established policies and procedures.
Conduct routine salary administration tasks, providing advice to managers on salaries of all employees, except senior management.
Provide guidance and coaching on the implementation of HR policies and procedures to leaders for designated business lines
Act as a positive change agent for implementation of new company initiatives.
May produce summary reports from HR programs including the HRIS, and Recruitment programs to identify gaps in resourcing and provide management information on trends within their business groups
Facilitate the disability claims, record keeping & reporting process with the leader
Act as the recording secretary for the Ontario Health and Safety Committee and ensures mandatory training for AODA and OHS is completed for all new Ontario hires.
Maintain and provides input regarding program changes, including recruitment, retention, compensation, and performance management.
Ensure a professional working environment is maintained, provides excellent client service and follow-up as required.
Provide coverage and support for other HR team members and provides project management and execution as required.
What you'll have:
A minimum of 3 years HR Business Partner experience
Undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong computer skills in a Microsoft environment and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) programs are required.
The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment.
Strong relationship management and well-developed interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task are essential, proven attention to details, and the ability to fulfil responsibilities independently.
Proven track record of understanding the customer needs, showing initiative and urgency to solve problems and follow up on the solution.
An up to date knowledge base of HR best practices, with respect to provincial and federal employment legislation, employment development and workforce planning.
