Added New Completes required administrative duties including data entry for programs, confirming attendance of students in programs, data entry of budget in financial system (webtracker) and monitors schools budgets throughout the year; assisting with grant renewals, etc



Establishes good working relationships and collaborates with school programs, community members, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the program.



Participates in fundraising activities at the local level as appropriate.



Consults with community based agencies such as Public Health Departments to obtain resources for the program and participants; shares resources and supports and works collaboratively with Peel Student Nutrition Program team.









Communicates on a consistent basis with Student Nutrition Program locations using tact, courtesy and professional representation of the YMCA of Greater Toronto.



Provides assistance, counsel, problem-solving, coaching and leadership to ensure safe operation of program.



Develops, modifies and prioritizes program information packages as required.



Works in collaboration with and supports volunteers to the school programs.



Coordinates and facilitates startup of new program sites.



Assists programs locations with parent and student engagement opportunities to ensure program success.



Works alongside program coordinators to ensure correct Student Nutrition Program data is being tracked for each program, and follows the guidelines set by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services; routinely reviews data, ensuring correct input and acting on incorrect, missing or uncertain data.



Monitoring programs delivered at multiple sites, visiting each site regularly. Maintains ongoing records of site visits, and organizes all relevant forms and materials for Student Nutrition Programs



Demonstrates appropriate behaviours in line with our Mission, Vision and Values as reflected in our YMCA competencies; takes a member focused approach to increase their understanding of programs offered across the Association. Represents the YMCA and the Association in a professional manner.



Understands the legal responsibilities and moral imperative to report suspected child abuse to Child Protection Services.



Understands the importance of the volunteer staff partnership and integrates the value of philanthropy and volunteerism in dealings with members, volunteers, donors and staff.

Qualifications



Knowledge of local community



Knowledge of Ontario Student Nutrition Program



Knowledge of both the public and separate school systems and field of education



Capacity to work both within a team and independently and be a part of a large multi-service charitable Association



Goal-oriented and results-focused



Requires tact, courtesy and professional presentation/representation of YMCA and Student Nutrition Program in Peel Region



Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team environment



Ability to organize, plan and implement appropriate activities to further organizational goals

Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers



Excellent written communication skills; strong oral communication skills



Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity



Efficient in Microsoft Office Programs



Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle a must
