Job Description



Manager – Market Data Operations



Location: Mississauga, ON or Remote

Duties and Responsibilities



Essential responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited:



Client challenge/query/resolution escalations

Vendor escalations and issue resolution

Vendor relationship, contracts, renewals, invoices, royalty reports

Vendor file migrations, implementations

Project/CR requirements writing, review, coordination with development, testing, release

Troubleshooting for file, loader, reporting issues (data operations or client support)

Client prospect research and review of data request/coverage

Group task assignments, vacation approvals, on call schedule

Coordinating, defining, monitoring and supervising the department activities and assigned staff to ensure successful results.

Establishing new and maintaining existing, procedures and processes in order to meet internal/external requirements.

Conducting research and providing information/answers to internal/external parties concerning SVC’s data services, products, procedures, policies and documentation.

Assisting in the research and resolution of department related problems.

Identifying and assisting in the prioritization, assignment, testing, approval and release of change requests as directed by client/vendor demands and/or management directives.

Conducting regular status meetings with assigned staff and management to ensure information is, effectively and appropriately disseminated.

Keeping informed of internal products, processes and initiatives.

Developing and assisting in strategies for continued self and employee development.



Additional Functions



Continued involvement in ensuring day-to-day procedures and processes for data operations group are complete.



Ensure that monitoring, analysis and maintenance of data quality and accuracy is completed.

Work closely with Sales and Client Support for new client implementations and data acquisition.

Assist in improving and developing SVC products and services.

Working closely with required departments to achieve common goal of customer satisfaction by providing superior product support and service.

Ensuring Clients are aware of upcoming industry changes and action items for the data operations group to ensure timely changes are met.



Administrative Responsibilities



As required, the employee will be responsible for assisting in:



Approving and allocating staff holidays.

Setting of staff goals.

Completing Performance Evaluation of employees, both quarterly and annually.

Training of new and existing internal/external person(s).

Hiring of new staff.



Technical Requirements



Proficient in MS Office (with accent on Excel) and excellent knowledge of SQL, Mongo query tools and Jira an asset.

Knowledgeable of Confluence/ServiceNow/Workday/Microsoft Teams & Zoom
