UWC National Committee of Canada
UWC National Committee of Canada (UWC NCC) is one of 155 different National Committees around the world that select students for admission to a United World College. As a relatively new organization continuing a long Canadian tradition of promoting the UWC mission to make education a force for peace and sustainability, the UWC NCC has an important role to play in seeking, selecting, and supporting Canadians who deserve and desire to be part of the UWC movement.
We are working to connect with all UWC stakeholders (Alumni; Parents; Educators; Supporters) across Canada as well as all Canadian UWC stakeholders abroad to kickstart our fundraising efforts and, to this end,
we are seeking a self-starting Alumni Engagement & Fundraising Coordinator. This position will play an integral part in raising funds from our stakeholders to provide scholarships to successful applicants to UWC.
The Alumni Engagement & Fundraising Coordinator is a newly-created position, and the successful applicant will work closely with UWC Canada’s Fundraising Committee and the Executive Director of the UWC NCC. The role is part of a small, dedicated, friendly team though it will have a significant degree of autonomy.
The role may require some travel within Canada, but can primarily be done from home, using online tools and the telephone.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to play a significant role in shaping the organisation’s alumni engagement and fundraising capacity whilst generating immediate impact. If you have a passion for supporting education, are experienced in setting up a prospect pipeline, managing partnerships and securing funding, we would love to hear from you.
