Profile:



The Finance Administrator is responsible for coordinating financial and administrative activities within their program. The Finance Administrator provides a link to ensure standards are shared and followed by new and existing staff within the program/region, and must be familiar with all financial policies and organization standards. The individual must be able to manage multiple priorities, and work well within a team environment. Accuracy is essential and strong computer skills are required in MS Word and Excel.



Responsibilities:



- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.

- Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.

- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.

- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.

- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

- Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.

- Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.

- Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report.

- Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications and Experience:



- Diploma or degree in accounting or finance

- Proven working experience as accounts receivable clerk

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations

- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software

- Proficiency in English and in MS Office

- Customer service orientation skills
